-ED PRONUNCIATION

(...) The burglar decided to wait outside until it was dark. Then, he stepped out of the shadows, jumped over the fence, crossed the garden, climbed up the wall and silently managed to get inside through the open window. Suddenly, he saw two people inside: a man and a woman. He hid behind the curtains and held his breath trying not to make himself noticed as he watched their movements. The man was already at the door and the woman was walking towards him. They appeared to be leaving the room. However, all of a sudden she stopped and picked up a folded paper from the floor. Why she turned round, nobody knows, maybe it was just the sound of the wooden floor that creaked behind her, but the truth is that she looked behind and spotted the dark figure by the window. For a few seconds she felt paralysed, then she started to shout pointing to the curtains and next she fainted. The man dashed towards her. At that moment the surprised burglar looked around trying to find a way out, but he immediately realised he was trapped (...)


     1. Read the story aloud. Can you pronounce these -ED endings in the story correctly: Id / t / d ?? Fancy some practice?
