A flightless bird!
Did you know that apart from English, the official language in New Zealand is Maori? Yes, and so are the native people from there.
We certainly know very little about these islands in the antipodes but we don´t intend to overwhelm you with lots of information. As we have been studying sports in 1st ESO, we would like to share with you something about one of the most popular sports there: rugby. New Zealand´s national rugby team´s name is All Blacks. They are famous around the world because before they start a match, they always do a haka, a traditional Maori war dance, standing opposite their opponents. They do this in order to show them their strentgh and power. It´s amazing and really worth watching! Don´t miss it! Watch the video down here. Can you imagine being one of New Zealand´s opponents in a World Cup???Uppsss!

JESUS-MARIA WITH HAITI
Yesterday we had the opportunity to enjoy together a fantastic evening working hand in hand with a common goal: to remember and help the ones who are suffering in Haiti after the terrible earthquake.
We gathered in El Carmen´s auditorium and we filled it with positive energy. Music, dance, good laughs, friendship and love were the ingredients we took there in order to show the people in Haiti that we care. No matter how far they may be, we feel them close in our hearts.
Thanks for all your collaboration. It was all of you who made it possible!!
Here you are the video with the new version of Michael Jackson´s "We are the world". I hope you enjoy it!

ARE YOU ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS??
Are you aware of the terrible problems that humans are causing the environment? Do words like: GREENHOUSE EFFECT, global warming, CLIMATE CHANGE, pollution, CFCs, carbon dioxide, deforestation, draughts, floods, melting of the poles, endangered species, the extinction of species, famine, etc... sound familiar to you???
If we want to take care of our wonderful planet Earth, we´ll have to become more eco-friendly and start changing our habits. How about recycling, reusing and leaving the smallest carbon footprint as possible?...It´s in our hands, it´s our responsibility! Think green!!
